Payment Options
Our goal is to help you obtain the best therapy outcomes while maximizing any benefits or savings available to you. We accept HSA/FSA, Gardiner Scholarships, and all major credit cards. We also accept all out-of-network insurances and we are able to provide you with a compatible billing statement with the proper codes for you to obtain your out of network benefits. If your plan and coverage allow, you can provide these billing statements to your insurance company to get reimbursed directly for therapy expenses. These statements can also be requested for tax benefits.
Consultations
Consultations gather relevant information regarding the client, including any previous evaluations or assessments. We always offer complimentary phone consultations to caregivers to discuss any questions or concerns you may have regarding your child's speech and language development. The consultation serves to determine the "next step" in helping your child's communication skills.
Screenings
CAP Speech Therapy offers speech and language screenings for schools and daycares. Screenings consist of a 10-20 minute informal assessment that screens for appropriate developmental milestones for a child's chronological age. Children that appear to have some areas of difficulties will be recommended for a full speech and language evaluation. Evaluations
Comprehensive evaluations use a combination of standardized testing, parent or client interviews, and informal observation. The process begins with the completion of an intake form, which helps the therapist select appropriate testing materials and provides background information on the client in need of services. The evaluation is then conducted in a natural environment setting or over the computer. Assessment results will include recommendations such as whether therapy is warranted, as well as the frequency and length of treatment sessions. A full report with an outlined treatment plan is provided within 7-10 days. If there is a wait list for therapy, Caregivers will be notified before the evaluation is conducted.
In-Person Therapy
We provide speech and language therapy to clients of all ages (both pediatrics and adults). Research-based programs and techniques are used to provide patient's with personalized therapy sessions. To ensure the highest quality of therapy, services are provided on an individual basis ranging from 45-60 minute sessions and are always accompanied by home practice programs to allow for optimal carry-over skills. We offer in-person therapy in the following areas: Fort Lauderdale, Pompano Beach, Oakland Park, Davie, Plantation, Hollywood, Aventura, North Miami Beach, Miami Shores, North Bay Village, and other surrounding towns.
Teletherapy
A great option for families that live in remote areas or have busy schedules! Through a secured platform, experienced therapists work with patients via the internet on a two-way live video. The patients can interact with the therapist just as he/she would if it were an in-person session. The opportunities are vast: hands-on activities, interactive games, comprehensive evaluations and unique treatment plans are all incorporated. For our youngest clients, a caregiver is on the other end with the patient providing cueing and any "hands-on" techniques that might be needed. These 30 minute sessions are an incredible way for caregivers to learn first hand the tools they need to interact with their child on a daily basis for optimum carryover results. Teletherapy has been the missing link to what CAP Speech has offered in the past, you will not be disappointed, or the first session is on us!
