Our Services

In-Person Therapy

At CAP Speech Therapy, we’ve carefully built a team of the best of the best. Highly trained, certified, and experienced Speech-Language Pathologists who deliver exceptional care to clients of all ages, from pediatric to adult.

Our sessions use research-based programs and techniques, personalized to meet each client’s unique communication goals. Therapy is provided on an individual basis, with options of 45 or 60 minute sessions to fit your child’s or family’s needs.

Every session is paired with a home practice program, ensuring skills are reinforced beyond the therapy session and progress is maximized in real-life settings.

Our approach is more than therapy, it’s a comprehensive, high-quality communication experience. Every child or adult is supported in a way that maximizes progress, reduces frustration, and builds confidence.

For families seeking elite-level, individualized speech therapy, CAP delivers the expertise, dedication, and results that set us apart!

Teletherapy: Fun, Interactive, and Loved by Kids

Thanks to the adaptability of teletherapy, we can now offer our services across the state of Florida and all islands of Hawaii. Teletherapy is especially engaging for children for children ages 4-7 with interactive, play based activities that make learning speech and language fun.

Virtual sessions are a convenient option for families with busy schedules and are offered at $75 per session. If you’re curious but unsure about trying Teletherapy, we may be able to coordinate a complementary trial session so you and your child can experience just how fun and engaging it can be!

For families seeking therapy directly with our director, Melanie, who has been recognized by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association Magazine and runs an internationally acclaimed parent coaching program, teletherapy may also be available outside of Florida and Hawaii. For families willing to cover licensure costs, she can sometimes coordinate sessions across state lines. Please contact our office for details.

Payment Options

Our goal is to help you obtain the best therapy outcomes while maximizing any benefits or savings available to you. We accept HSA/FSA, Step-Up Scholarship for Students, Gardiner Scholarships, and all major credit cards. We also accept all out-of-network insurances and we are able to provide you with a compatible billing statement with the proper codes for you to obtain your out of network benefits. If your plan and coverage allow, you can provide these billing statements to your insurance company to get reimbursed directly for therapy expenses. These statements can also be requested for tax benefits.

Evaluations

Our evaluations combine standardized testing, parent and client interviews, and informal observations to provide a complete understanding of your child’s communication strengths and needs.

The process begins with a detailed intake form, which gives the therapist background information and helps select the most appropriate assessment tools. Evaluations can be conducted in your child’s natural environment or virtually, depending on your preference.

After the assessment, families receive a full report and personalized treatment plan within one week. Recommendations include whether therapy is warranted, as well as the suggested frequency and length of sessions.

If there is a waitlist for therapy services, caregivers are notified prior to the evaluation to ensure transparency and planning.

Consultations with our Director

Our director conducts consultations to gather important information about your child, including any previous evaluations or assessments. This consists of a 15-minute complimentary phone conversation with caregivers to answer questions or address concerns about your child’s speech and language development. This personalized consultation helps determine the most effective next steps to unlock your child’s communication potential.

Screenings

CAP Speech Therapy offers speech and language screenings for schools and daycare programs. Each screening is a 10-20 minute informal assessment designed to identify whether a child is meeting age-appropriate milestones.

Children who show areas of difficulty are recommended for a comprehensive speech and language evaluation to provide a full picture of their communication needs.

This serve is provided at no cost to the school, and parents are charged a nominal $25 fee. If your school or daycare is interested in offering this valuable service, please contact us directly.
